Everyone this week is coming to terms with Bonnie’s death, Elena is distracting herself by concentrating on finding out what Dr Maxfield is trying to do. Caroline is distracting herself with Tyler and Damon and Jeremy are trying to switch Silas for Bonnie.
Whilst trying to
discover Dr Maxfield’s intentions Elena meets a stranger at Meghan’s grave and
he informs Elena that he knows that she did not commit suicide, but before she
can find out more about Mr mystery he walks off.
Damon is concerned
that his girlfriend is avoiding him, and turns up at college to join Elena for
the Whitmore Ball. Elena confesses to Damon that she feels guilty for not
figuring out that Bonnie was dead all summer whilst she was being happy with
Damon. In an effort to please Elena he hatches a plan with Jeremy to trade
Silas’ life for Bonnie’s. Bonnie tells Jeremy she will have no part of it but
he lies for her.
Silas this week is
trying to discover where the anchor is for the other side; he needs to destroy
it in order to pass peacefully over. He teams up with Damon in order to switch
places with Stefan to trick Ketsia. Ketsia doesn’t know where the anchor is,
the travellers have been moving it around for centuries she is looking for her
pendant in order to increase her powers. She finds the necklace and she
desiccates Silas like she did before.
At the ball Caroline
is enjoying Tyler being back until he tells her that he has no intention of
staying at college. He informs her that he only came back to say goodbye to her
as he wants to go and chase after Klaus to take away all that he holds close.
Caroline gives him an ultimatum and he chooses revenge over staying with her.
Dr Maxfield plot
thickens he is studying Jesse as a vampire and is also the legal guardian of
Aaron (the stranger Elena met earlier at Meghan’s grave) He warns Aaron to stay
away from Elena. However, under compulsion he tells her that everyone around him
always dies. Something to do with Dr Maxfield I think!
Katherine learns a
few lessons this week, she finds out that Silas needs all of her blood to
become mortal again so she is on the run with Nadia. Complications arise though
when we learn that Nadia is in fact Katherine’s daughter, and has spent
centuries trying to find her. Katherine tells Nadia that she came back for her.
With Silas
desiccated it puts a spanner in the works for Damon’s plan, he invites
Katherine back who is overjoyed to see that she doesn’t have to run anymore,
she pleads with Damon to not feed her to Silas, for a brief moment he
reconsiders but he does it anyway. However, it is very hard to kill Katherine
and she comes back to life.
Final Thoughts:
On the revenge path
could it be that Tyler will go to The Originals and hook up with Hayley.
I like the new
Stefan not lusting after Elena, although it looks it might be Caroline now.
How is Katherine not
dead.
How will they get
Bonnie back.
