Hart of Dixie 3x04

Its Halloween in Bluebell and Lemon is desperate for an invitation to the Masquerade Ball after being ousted from the Belles she needs to find a way in. George advises that she calls in her Grandma who has great social standing. But Lemon wants to use that as a last resort, as her Grandma is overly judgey. It is nice to see Lemon and George getting along again.

Wade spends the episode running from Randall, a very large boyfriend of one of Wade’s conquests. Not the only one, as after begging George to take him to the Ball, Wade hooks up with Judge Perkins’ wife. He gets a dressing down from George; he believes that he is only going after unavailable women because the one he wants he cannot have.

Zoe is keen for Joel to make friends in Bluebell but she isn’t keen with his choice, as he thinks Wade is really cool. They go on a trip together to pick up dry ice. Zoe would rather he be friends with Lavon but they are both reluctant to bond with each other. Later, they bond over Game of Thrones and not understanding women and the boys, (Lavon, Joel, Wade) go on a road trip.

Lemon is saved by her Grandma and has bagged herself a date to the ball, on paper he is perfect but in practice, he is insufferable. She is saved from a horrible evening by a handsome stranger, Peter and he instantly charms her. He seems just as besotted with her and even offers to take on her Grandma. They leave the party and continue on for a drink, they chat and flirt and he asks her to stay the night with him. She wakes to breakfast left for her and he misses his flight in order to spend a couple more hours with her. I hope there is more Robert Buckley and this isn’t just a fleeting visit, he seems perfect for Lemon he has given her sparkle back.

Lavon is planning a surprise for AB for the anniversary of their first date, and AB confesses to Zoe that she thinks he may propose. Whilst under a routine check up Zoe finds a lump on AB’s ovaries and they travel to Mobil for tests. They are inconclusive and Anabeth worries that she will not be able to have children. I am loving the AB/Zoe time this week it has been missing from the season so far. AB is trying to distract Lavon to stop him from proposing until she has the all clear, so she enlists Zoe’s help. AB discovers that her surprise was a horror film and is not impressed. She however get the all clear.

Final Thoughts:

I like that the boys are going to have a gang, interesting to see the Joel/Wade relationship

Lemon has had a good week it was nice for her

I liked the AB storyline, now she just needs to be pregnant

I don’t think we have seen the last of Robert Buckley

Once Upon a Time 3x05 Recap

We are still in Neverland and Henry is feeling more and more like a lost boy, the gang realise that this is going to be the case and set about trying to get a message to him. They hope to trick one of the lost boys and use him to give Henry a message that they are coming to rescue him.

This week it is all about Hook and we see a little into his past with his brother. He is flirting diabolically with Emma, but she is having none of it and even David/Charming warns him off his daughter. In his past we see Hook as Lieutenant Jones, with his brother the Captain setting off on a quest for the king to Neverland in order to retrieve ‘the world’s greatest medicine’ (I.e. Dreamshade) of course we as the audience know that it is in fact deadly. Upon arrival they run into Peter Pan who informs them of this, Hook’s brother does not believe this to be the case and they carry on with their quest.

In present day, David/Charming is succumbing to the poison of the Dreamshade, Hook tricks him into believing there is a sexton at the top of dead man’s peak that will decipher Neil’s star map and they set off together with David/Charming saying his goodbyes to the girls unknowingly to them. He also acknowledges that Hook is only here to save Henry for Emma. They bond on their journey as Hook tells David/Charming of his brother. Pan offers Hook a deal that if he comes back to work for him he will give him and Emma passage off the island, at a price...he has to kill David/Charming.

The girls are focused on getting Henry the message, the lost boy they capture is not willing to give it easily and so they are resorted to using Regina. She takes the boys heart in order to control him and gives him a mirror that will be able to show them Henry. Mary Margaret/Snow white is upset that Emma has allowed Regina to do this. But Regina argues that she is there to make the tough decisions and Emma is still good at heart.

Back in the past, Hook is convinced that Pan is telling the truth about the Dreamshade but his brother does not believe that the king would betray him like that as it could be used as a deadly weapon. In order to prove this to his brother he cuts himself and dies. Hook is undoubtedly distraught and asks Pan for help. The only cure is to drink the spring water he tells Hook, but there is always a balance with magic. As soon as Hook and his brother leave Neverland his brother dies, the magic only lasts on the island.

Hook’s brother dies as soon as he leaves the island. Hook offers David/Charming the deal, that if he drinks the water he can never leave Neverland. He asks why Hook would risk it for it, he said he didn't do it for David (i.e. Emma)
Back in the present, Hook offers David/Charming the same choice he can drink from the water and live but he can never leave the island, or die. He chooses the first option and they return to the girls, David/Charming tells them about how Hook saved his life, but not the truth. Emma thanks Hook and they kiss, however she tells him that it will be a one time thing.

Hook buries his brother at sea, and becomes captain. Hook destroys the Pegasus sail so that no one can fly back to Neverland and starts the rebellion against the king by becoming a pirate and renames the boat The Jolly Roger.
In the end Pan tells Hook that Neil is still alive and is on the island. He leaves it up to Hook to either tell Emma or not.

Final Thoughts:
Who is in the other cage with Neil
Everyone drank from the rum bottle Pan gave Hook, except Regina. I expect this may become significant.

There are so many different story avenues it just keeps getting better.

How will Snow White cope with Charming having to stay in Neverland

Where is Rumple?

Will Hook tell Emma about Neil? I’m really enjoying the relationship blossoming between Hook and Emma but Neil is her soul mate so I don’t know whether I want him to tell her or not.

Parenthood 5x05 Recap

This week in the world of my favourite TV family, Adam and Crosby are having differences over the luncheonette’s label, Julia and Joel are fighting over Pete, Sarah and Ryan have a heart to heart, Christina struggles with Max and Zeek and Camille are becoming more distant.

We begin the episode at the Luncheonette Adam has gained the rights to the Ashes of Rome songs from their previous label but it came at a price, giving away Crosby’s studio time. Crosby isn’t happy about this but goes along with his brother’s plan. However, he struggles with the insufferable lead singer and after fighting with Adam, gives up on them. Until after a chance meeting with Joel he listens to some classic albums and convinces the band that a stripped back version of their songs would be better.

Max encounters problems this week at school; he has been chosen to take pictures for the school’s year book. Under instruction by Hank he has been taking ‘real’ pictures and captures a girl crying. After a parent outcry, the school decide to move Max to another department, Christina is not happy by this as she saw how good the picture was. The school however will not budge and Christina is forced to tell Max he is off the yearbook. I think that Autism is going to become a high priority if Christina becomes Mayor.

Sarah’s tenant toilet breaks and so she asks Joel to fix it, he sends over Ryan and it becomes quickly apparent that Amber hasn’t told Ryan about the fight with her mum. Ryan argues with Amber about why she didn’t tell him and at the end of the episode goes to Sarah to explain why his family will not be attending the wedding. He gives her a long speech and tells her he wants to be worthy enough to be a Braverman. Sarah’s tenant randomly keeps appearing, I am waiting for the inevitable relationship to start blossoming.

Julia and Joel are reaching breaking point over Pete, she is asking Joel to constantly change the design of the build and Julia asks him to confront her. They go to dinner to discuss boundaries and Joel gets drunk, this leads to Julia and Joel coming to blows when she says Pete is taking advantage of him. I think that this won’t be the last we see of the fights between these two but I hope they don’t break up as they are my favourite couple.

Meanwhile, Zeek and Camille are having difficulties, Camille wants to sell the house, Zeek does not. Camille confides in Julia that she has lost her voice in the relationship and she later relays this to Zeek. In echoes of her own situation she cries and tells him to listen to her mum as she is his wife.

Final Thoughts:

I am worried for Camille and Zeek I hope they don’t separate but I see it is starting to head that way

I miss Haddie, no mentions of her, maybe she will come back for the wedding.

Sarah needs something in her life, I feel her story is a bit dull at the moment

I am growing towards Ryan, I really didn’t like him after the last season, but the proposal was really cute and as was the scene in this episode with Sarah.

The Vampire Diaries 5x04 Recap

The main aim this week is get Stefan’s memories back. Damon has the ‘Damon way’ of doing things by taking his brother out in his car and getting him drunk. Whilst Elena tries to take him down memory lane with her, by revisiting important moments in their history. There is a nice moment between the brothers when Stefan states that he is the fun brother and Damon is the safe one. Both Elena and Damon however, are trying to avoid releasing the ripper.

It is Remembrance Day in Mystic Falls and time for a home visit for Caroline, who has been away at college playing detective. She brings Jesse home with her, a move which leads to him questioning Caroline’s motives and they share a kiss.

At the bar trying to regain his memories Stefan shares that although they keep telling him he is a monster he thinks now he has no memories he will be ok with his ripper side. Elena arrives and is put out that Damon hasn’t told Stefan about her, he argues that there is two hundred years to catch up on first.

Matt meanwhile, is still struggling with his blackouts and decides to film himself so that he can see what happens. He watches the footage back and sees Gregor, he faces the camera and tells Matt that some people will come looking for a blade and that he must protect it at all costs.

Elena takes Stefan back to high school where they met, and to the bridge, basically giving him a tour of their relationship. They are very flirty and Stefan guesses that they were together once upon a time and tells her he feels better when he is with her, the hunger to feed is gone. She confesses that she fell out of love with him when she became a vampire. They almost kiss but Stefan is shocked to learn that she is with Damon and goes off the rails.
Stefan has gone to the party and got horrendously drunk; he runs into Caroline and tells her that she is hotter in person. He gives her the slip in order to chase after Jesse; he attacks him saying why should he be good when he has lost everything.

Caroline intervenes and saves Jesse by feeding him her blood. Stefan goes back to the house and burns all of his journals he doesn’t want to be the Stefan from them and decides he doesn’t want anything to do with Damon and Elena, only Caroline. This is a good move; I like this storyline a Stefan not pining for Elena is interesting and I want to see the relationship with Caroline develop and Elena’s jealousy.

This is finally the episode where everyone finds out about Bonnie, Jeremy is struggling with keeping the secret as everyone needs something from Bonnie. He confides in Damon that she is dead, and Damon is instantly concerned for Elena’s wellbeing. (There is a cute moment between Damon and Jeremy when they hug and Damon shows he truly cared for Bonnie) Damon decides it is best that he tells Elena whilst Jeremy tells Matt. Caroline seeks comfort in Stefan and piles all of her troubles onto him. The gang hold a memorial service for Bonnie and grieve for her; she is watching over them and sends them each messages through Jeremy. Tyler makes a return after hearing the news to be there for Caroline.

Back at college for the cliff-hanger Jesse is being studied by Professor he discovers that Jesse has vampire blood in his system and kills him in order to turn him into a vampire. I wonder what the professor wants to achieve from this?

Final Thoughts:

I’m glad now everyone knows about Bonnie, it will be good to see how the gang cope without running to her first with every problem they have. How are they going to solve future crises without the use of magic?

This episode was a good return to the roots of the vampire diaries, I feel that the professor is a more sinister villain than Silas. Although it seems weird that there was no mention of it in this episode they seem to have forgotten about Katherine.

The funeral scene was nice, I liked the surprise that Tyler showed up and Damon in a suit is always a treat.

Caroline has a lot on her plate now and she has many options Tyler, Stefan, Jesse and not forgetting that Klaus could appear at any moment. I am definitely a Klaroline shipper but as his only friend I am looking forward to seeing the Caroline/Stefan relationship as it was starting to get good last season.

Hart of Dixie 3x03 Recap

This was a bit of a filler episode I feel as we didn’t really make any progress. The main premise is that Zoe wants to get back to work, However Brick is not budging. Joel suggests that she opens her own practice but all Zoe wants is to be back in with Brick. This begins the awkwardness of the episode whereby tensions are high between Zoe and Joel.

By accident Joel lets slip to Brick that Zoe might open her own practice, she is furious with him. Brick is fuming and it leads to a heated argument by which Zoe exclaims that she will open her own practice. To which George Tucker announces that it is in her contract to not practice within 20 miles of Bluebell or she has to pay $350,000.

Meanwhile Lavon is trying to get a minor league baseball team to build their stadium in Bluebell. The owner is Cam Lynch who happened to go to college with Brick. He begrudgingly agrees to help Lavon; however Cam is very interested in Brick. Brick doesn’t like the attention and is called away to an emergency.

George is struggling with tutoring Lynley as she will not give up flirting with him, it comes to a head when George tries to help her zip up her dress and gets his hand stuck. Caught in an uncomfortable situation the only person George can call is Zoe. They finally have a chance to talk about her leaving and George tells her that it might have hit Brick harder than she thought.

Lemon is ruffling a few feathers in the belles, she forms a resistance to Crickets leadership, but she is discovered by Cricket and is made to clean the town as punishment. After completing all the humiliating tasks, Lemon along with Anabeth quit the belles.

Joel is down in the dumps over Zoe and heads to the Rammer Jammer, Wade recognises that depressed look on his face and takes pity on him. They need to keep Brick from finding Zoe so they hatch a plan to keep him distracted this involves Wade punching Joel in the stomach (I bet he enjoyed it) They bond, Wade even has a cute nickname for him ‘Shakespeare’
Brick tells Zoe that his world fell apart because Shelby left, Magnolia left and then with Zoe leaving he had double the work load. He offers Zoe her job back but not as a partner as someone who can work their way up.

We finish off as usual in the Rammer Jammer and Wade tells Zoe to take it easy on Joel and she is touched that he got punched for her.

Final Thoughts:
My favourite line from Zoe to Wade ‘How is it you drink so much and yet forget so little

Not too excited about this episode not much happened although it showed tensions brewing very easily between Zoe and Joel.

I’m glad that Lemon and Anabeth have quit the Belles that stuff bores me

Very very excited for Robert Buckley next week

The Vampire Diaries 5x03

Elena has been having restless nights dreaming of Stefan as the ripper and he doesn’t have his daylight ring. Trouble is Elena and Katherine are having the same dreams as part of the ‘Doppelganger curse’ Elena and Katherine are sparring off with each other and Damon is playing mediator. I like Katherine as a human she much better with her humanity.

The traveller, Nadia, is now being Silas’ puppet and is instructed to kill Matt. Matt has been possessed by Gregor, the traveller she needed to gain Silas’ trust by killing him but aims to restore Gregor in Matt’s body. Matt arrives home and can’t remember ringing Elena and he has mud all over his shoes.

Stefan has been saved by a stranger, she knows all about Silas. She tells him a story that she is Silas’ one true love (a traveller) and he wanted Ketsia to make an elixir to make them immortal. Complete 180 and it turns out she is ketsia and came through from the other side when Bonnie dropped the veil. Ketsia (Tessa – for the modern world) was due to marry Silas and made the immortality spell for the wedding ceremony but he took the spell before with someone else, Amara (The first Petrova doppelganger I assume as she looks identical to Elena). Betrayed she offered Silas a second chance to take the cure. He refused and killed Amara by giving her the cure. Ketsia created the other side so that Silas would be stuck there instead of in peace with Amara. Ketsia asks for Stefan in helping to take down Silas he agrees.

On the road to try and find Stefan, Katherine is trying to wind up Elena and Damon, by saying she should not be dreaming about Stefan. However, Elena is having none of it and argues why should they keep Katherine around, Damon tells her he intends to keep her as leverage because Silas wants her. When they reach the bar they were looking for they run into Nadia and Elena chases after her. There is a cute Damon/Elena moment when he tells her to be careful as Katherine is not worth the hair on Elena’s head. In the woods Katherine asks Elena why she hasn’t killed her, Elena replies that it is what is left of her humanity. However Katherine is captured by Nadia.

Ketsia seems a bit of a psycho and she had planted the dreams in the girls head to lead them to where Stefan was but she was expecting Katherine as well as Damon. Ketsia aims to link Stefan to Silas in order to weaken his mental state and his mind control. She manages this and in doing so saves Nadia’s life as she was under his mind control to kill herself. Ketsia tells Damon that he has no chance for a happy ending as she has sat on the other side and watched over the century the doppelgangers search for each other and find each other. (i.e. Stefan and Elena are destined for each other)

Silas realises Ketsia is around after she fried his brain and tells Katherine that the cure is running through her veins. Maybe there is a possibility that everyone can be cured.

Damon tells Elena, that they are a lost cause and that the universe is programmed to make doppelgangers fall in love with each other. But he gives a big romantic speech that he loves her. I am loving these speeches there is about one an episode at the minute.

For the final cliff-hanger Stefan wakes up and has complete memory loss he has no idea who Elena and Damon are, handy as he has forgotten all about his love for her. The show just keeps throwing curveballs.

Final Thoughts:
Forgot Stefan did not know anything about Katherine taking the cure Etc.

How will the memory loss affect Elena, will she be hurt he has forgotten her

What’s going on at college? Abandoned the professor storyline

I like Ketsia she seems bad ass.

Hart of Dixie Season 3 Episode 2 Review

Bluebell’s newest resident, Joel, is not coping so well with the southern way of life he cannot deal with the humidity and he sits on fire ant rock. Also to add insult to injury in this episode he finds out about Zoe and Wade and also notices some tension between him and George Tucker. In this episode Zoe aims to show him the charms of the town in order to make him fall in love with it like she has but it does not go so well. In fact the only person in Bluebell that likes Joel other than Zoe is Tom Long, he loves Joel’s writing.

The town is buzzing about ‘Lemonade’ (Lemon and Wade) and within the episode we find out each of the inhabitants of Bluebell’s reactions to it. Meatball finds out from the belles and believes that he is ‘the other man’ Brick is not best pleased and confronts Wade over the relationship.

After their one night stand Lynley gets a little too attached to George after he makes her eggs in the morning. They agree to not exchange names and avoid each other but this is made hard after Lavon recruits George to help him locate this Mystery man.

Lemon suffers in this episode as she is trying to keep up the pretence that her and Wade are together to make Zoe Jealous, whilst also trying to find herself an eligible bachelor to stop her from sleeping with Meatball. Naturally, one is in town Carter Cuvington and he is interested and she asks Wade to dissolve their fake relationship. After seeing Lemon and Carter at the Dixie stop, Zoe is convinced that the relationship with Wade is fake and lets Wade know this. Joel and Zoe weirdly bond over this as Joel states that the writer in him needs to know how and why they are faking the relationship.

Anabeth and Lavon are hosting a welcome to Bluebell dinner party for Joel, meant to be an intimate affair, of course the whole town ends up inviting themselves. The party does not go without a hitch, trying to get Lavon and Joel to bond is difficult as Lavon hated Joel’s book and posted bad reviews about it on Amazon. Joel is also taken ill after he has an allergic reaction. I'm missing the Lavon/Zoe time and I feel that Joel may put a wedge between them.

After being forced together at the party George lets Lynley know that he doesn’t want a new relationship. This appears not to sink in as she hatches a plan to spend more time with him by getting George to tutor her. I don't like this storyline, I think that now they have Joel I see where George fits in. I think him and Zoe should just be good friends like at the start of season 1.

Lemon and Wade have a heart to heart and he asks her to still continue the fake relationship as it is working by making Zoe Jealous. As a good friend she lets everyone know at the party that they are together apart from Carter who she tells the truth. However at this moment Meatball arrives and announces to everyone that he is sleeping with Lemon, everyone then figures out that ‘Lemonade’ is fake, Carter leaves town. I like that Lemon is trying to be a better person, I hated her in season 1 but she is becoming more and more likeable by episode.

Lemon tries to salvage a relationship with Carter. Meatball arrives at the Dinner Party and announces to the party that he is sleeping with Lemon. Everyone is shocked but figures out ‘Lemonade’ is fake. Carter clears off.

At the end Zoe tells Wade she didn’t like seeing him with someone else. They decide to find a way to coexist and even share a joke.

Final Thoughts:

I like that they haven’t forgot the past i.e. Lemon/Lavon and make little references to them

Cricket’s husband is definitely gay, I like meeting these very small characters though as it can get boring Zoe/George/Wade

I want to see more Anabeth/Zoe scenes, Anabeth is a bit boring at the moment and I think Zoe needs a gal pal

In addition to this I want to see Zoe living back at Lavon’s so there can be some awkward breakfast run ins

The Vampire Diaries 5x02 Recap

Well you cannot say that The Vampire Diaries is ever boring, this week Silas is causing more problems for the Mystic Falls crew and new supernatural’s are born.

We begin with Bonnie filling Jeremy in on events at the town square, she is now determined that Silas cannot get what he wants after killing her dad. She is struggling to grieve now not only for herself but for her father too.

Silas has meanwhile compelled the whole town into looking for and bringing him Katherine which counts for several scenes throughout this episode where they are almost caught.

Stefan’s hallucinations are continuing, he is dreaming happy thoughts of him and Elena together to keep himself from turning off his humanity.

At college, Caroline is unhappy about Tyler deferring and the mystery surrounding Meghan’s death is still continuing. The death certificate cites suicide, but the girls are not buying it and Elena sets off to find out what the doctor who signed it knows and why he is covering it up. She enrols them in his class in order to find out more, Jesse (New guy) just so happens to be in this class. Though it is short lived as Dr. Creepy/hot professor kicks them out of his class. I predict a few flirtations between him and Elena.

Damon’s conscience is getting the better of him and tries to enlist Liz’s help to find Stefan. He realises Stefan might be have been drowning all summer long while he has been shacked up with Elena.

Silas appears at college pretending to be Stefan, and fills Elena in on some things Damon has been keeping from her. He asks her some leading questions in order to determine Jeremy’s location and therefore Katherine’s.

Meanwhile on the run, Katherine is enjoying all the aliments of being human such as needing aspirin and coughing up green bits. After discussions with Elena, Silas has learnt where Jeremy will take Katherine and is hot on their heels. He runs into Matt who is not subject to his mind control so Silas breaks his neck to get in contact with ‘the travellers’ Luckily Matt is wearing the Gilbert ring and we see him visit The Other Side where our dear old friend Bonnie is keeping a watchful eye. We see the other side from their perspective and Matt finds out the truth about Bonnie. However, he realises that when he wakes up he will not remember a thing.

Damon comes to college concerned that Elena is in trouble with Silas and enlists Caroline’s help. Elena meanwhile is finding out more about Dr. Creepy from Jesse, and he informs her that he is part of a secret society at Whitmore. Caroline and Jesse then have a moment as she takes care of him following a Damon knockout. She rebuffs him feeling loyal to Tyler, though she softens and bonds with him when he explains he is in the same situation.

Elena has been compelled by Silas to weaken Damon and kill him. He is finally honest with her and tells her everything that has been happening back home. However, it makes her rage soar which is conveniently also a trigger for Silas’ compulsion to try and kill him. Damon gets her to break it by getting her to talk about the bad feeling she has had about Stefan all summer. She confesses he has been reaching out to her and he is in a lot of pain.

Back in the woods Jeremy cannot be controlled by Silas either and he is stronger than him, they fight although Silas is immortal and stabs them both. Katherine shows up in the nick of time and shoots Silas saving Jeremy. It is at this point Matt wakes up and Bonnie and Jeremy share a moment, he promises to help her as she tells him that she is not ready to be dead yet.

Elena leaves Caroline behind at college to help find Stefan as she is leaving Dr. Creepy shows up telling her Gilberts do not quit so easily and invites her for a meeting to talk about her dad. Glad that the immediate danger is over Elena and Damon make up he is a little jealous that she has been having dreams about Stefan but a little reassurance and a passionate kiss puts his mind at ease.

Always ending on a cliff-hanger, upon returning to Mystic Falls, the safe has been found but it is not Stefan who is inside.

Final thoughts:

If Stefan is not in the safe where is he? And has Silas’ mind control just made him think he is underwater.

Jesse is appearing everywhere, I feel he will have a bigger role to play, maybe Dr. Creepy’s puppet. Also he looks suspiciously like Connor, the Vampire Hunter and Marcel from New Orleans.

Who are the travellers? And what is the secret brunettes agenda why is she teaming up with Silas.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Silas, Damon scenes as he is more badass than Damon.

The mystery of the picture of Meghan and Elena’s dad has not been touched on yet.

The secret society intrigues me will they stray towards what happens in the books?

What will happen to Matt now he has served his purpose of spying on Silas.

The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Premiere

We join our Mystic Fall favourites after the summer, Stefan has been gone all summer long (we know he’s been underwater) the others have assumed that he is just wallowing from the new relationship status of Damon and Elena.

Elena and Caroline are preparing to go to college; Caroline is trying desperately in vain to get the elusive Tyler back to her side. Now that he is allowed back in Mystic Falls is he ever going to appear? Personally, I liked what was going on with Caroline/Klaus and the slight possibility of Caroline/Stefan. But one is now on a spinoff show and one is underwater so I’m praying for a new love interest at college for her. Damon and Elena have been playing house all summer, bathing in the luxury of a guilt free environment sans Stefan.

Stefan is still trapped underwater, dying and coming back to life over and over again; he keeps hallucinating with Damon telling him to turn off his humanity so that he will not feel the pain of dying. Just as he is about to give this up, Elena appears in his dreams telling him to stay with her he will get through.

Matt has returned from his adventures with Rebekah, they had fun on the road, however, when she leaves for New Orleans (going to the Originals) a figure from the road pitches up and Matt is in a little spot of bother. Who are these Vamps? And what do they want with Matt?

Bonnie is trying to accept her new life as a ghost; she is keeping up the premise that she is still alive by getting Jeremy to send postcards and texts to her dad and friends. However, Jeremy is struggling with the opposite, the transition from dead to alive and the all dreaded return to school. In which one day back and he is already expelled, if they were not vampires goodness knows how they would have got into college.

Silas is running around town screwing with everyone, he lets slip to Liz who he is but quickly compels her to forget everything. Question is what does he want with Katherine, in this quest he reveals to Damon who he really is and will only tell him the location of Stefan if he surrenders Katherine. Trouble is a newly human Katherine had already come to Damon asking for help in her weakened state and he sent her out of town with Jeremy. On the way out of town they crash and Jeremy is left for dead (really looking after himself with his second chance) until hero Damon pitches up to feed him blood after his promise to Elena to look after her little brother.

It’s not all going swimmingly in college for the girls either; they have a roommate when they thought it would just be them (Making it hard for them to be themselves) The new roommate is all but a bit suspicious as she drinks vervain water. Then at a campus party she rings the girls in panic claiming she is being chased, she then drops down dead in front of the girls. The campus claims that it is a suicide but the girls know better, they can recognise a vampire bite when they see one. The plot thickens as on the dead girl’s phone there is a photograph of her with Elena’s dad.

In true Vampire Diaries style it is not the only murder, Silas uses his mind control over the whole town and slits the town mayors throat i.e. Bonnie’s dad, the only one to witness this is Bonnie, but her screams are unheard. Is it just me or does Silas make Klaus look like a mouse (his presence is missed though)

Final Thoughts: I like that there is going to be a mystery surrounding Elena’s dad.

The new villain is going to be interesting as he can appear as anyone and will be even better when Stefan gets out of his watery grave, mistaken identities all around.

Let’s hope they introduce some more new characters as the death rate is getting higher. Hopefully a new love interest for Caroline, Tyler is too flaky.

I struggle how to see they will keep up the Bonnie saga, hope she does not appear all season as a ghost. However, now that Jeremy is human again it allows for the revisit of fan favourites such as Ric. Plus is it just me or is Jeremy HUGE.

I like Damon happy, it suits him that he got the girl, but I hope he does not lose the bad boy attitude that made us fall in love with him in the first place.

It’s good that Matt has his own storyline this season he always seems a bit redundant.
